Tutorial on Finding Your Nevada Unclaimed Property
Clicking here will take you to the page where you can start your claim. Once there you will find a box that you can enter your first and last name in to.
A list of names will be returned that match the one you entered. This preliminary list will only show names matching the one entered and the city in which the unclaimed money or property came from. If you find a city you may have had property in then click "View" to the right of it and more information will be presented including an address and the reporting institution. The reporting institution is the company or organization that had your money before it was turned over to the state.
If you are satisfied that that property is yours then click "Add this Property to Your Cart." If there is more unclaimed property that you believe is yours simply repeat the process of "adding it to your cart." Once you are satisfied that you have claimed all your property then click "File Claim for these Properties."
You will then provide information such as name, social security number, address, email address, and phone number. After filling the necessary information out click submit claim. You will then be sent a claim form in the mail that must be notarized and also include a copy of your state issued id and a copy of your social security card.
If you've already filed a claim and you are wanting to know the status of the claim then click here to go to the claim status page. Once there you will simply enter the claim number.
